WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS .....

snippett of footage?

Tell me your thoughts?

(If you dont want to watch the entire 20+ minutes, its obvious in the first few minutes, certainly within the first 5 minutes.)

  1. Hi Magda, the film paints a lovely picture of Adelaide in the 60's (one of the decades I'd go back to if I had a time-machine)
No rushing anywhere - and the featured couple seem to have a very interesting lifestyle, and I love the grand-parent involvement!
Oh, by the way - those white cars we see at the beginning in various stages of production? We have one of those in our driveway, being restored to its original beauty!

  2. Sandra the thing that struck me about this film is that there are so few overweight people in it. When you look at the people walking along the street, they're all average size whereas in today's society a large percentage are overweight or obese. It really stood out for me.

  3. Actually, I thought of that too, Magda, but didn't want it to sound nasty...I remember my mum saying that doing the housework "the old fashioned way" every day and walking to most destinations, carrying the shopping home etc kept her slim...oh, and did you notice the "lack of" technology? no mobile phones or computers - love the old typewriters...
